Why Are My Prayer Not Answered (Fastest Way To Get Your Prayer Answered)4 min read

Published by Dick Daniel on

There are many reasons why prayers are not answered, for example, lack of faith, doubt, fear, malice toward a spouse, unforgiveness, etc, but the chief of why your prayers are not answered is because you ask with the wrong motive, you ask to spend it on your lust.

James 4:3

When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

In the book of Luke 15:11-32. The Bible recorded the story of a certain young man, who demanded that his father give him his share of his inheritance. The father obliged and gave it to him.

Not long he gathered everything and traveled far away to a distant country just to spend his inheritance, on his Pleasures.

This is a classic example of spending our wants on our Pleasures

This is not the will of God for us.

God is not a waster of resources, and he expects us his children to be likewise.

God wants us to manage our Inheritance/resources like the wise and faithful servant who multiples his gifts/talents that was given to him as recorded in the book of Matthew 25:14-23

HOW DO I GET MY PRAYER ANSWERED?

There is no one way to get your prayers answered as there are lots of factors that determine if prayer is answered or not. Examples are the will of God, the time of life, faith, relationship with God, etc.

But the only way you can be sure to get your prayers answered as fast as possible is to “Walk in the Spirit” so that your desires are the desires of the Spirit, desires that are in tune with God. This is because when you walk in the Spirit you will fulfill all the other demands necessary for answered prayer.

“Walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfill the desires of the flesh…..” Galatians 5:16

When we desire to fulfill the lust of the flesh, then our prayers won’t be answered.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO WALK IN THE SPIRIT

Walking in the Spirit entails, getting baptized in the Holy Spirit, having a conscious awareness of His presence and following every single instruction of the Holy Spirit, and not quenching or Grieving the Holy Spirit.

When you walk in the Spirit your desires become to fulfill the things that interest the father, because the Spirit searches for the deep things of the Father.

When you’re in tune with the Spirit when you pray, you will discover that your desires will not be of the mundane things but things that please the father.

Most often, you will pray a Spirit-assisted prayer, because you know not what to pray for or who to pray to, so the Holy Spirit intercedes for you, through you with groaning that can not be uttered.

So when Jesus said in Mark 11:24 “what whichsoever ye desire when you pray, believe and you received”, Jesus expects that you should be walking in the Spirit and that your desires are not for lust but of the spirit.

CONCLUSION

Next time, when you go into the place of prayer, make sure your desire is of the things of the spirit and you pray in the Spirit.

We pray the mind of God when we pray in the spirit.

You can’t get it wrong or pray amiss, praying in the spirit.
